Betahaus (now present in various cities across Europe) was one of the pioneers within the worldwide landscape of coworking spaces. What they’ve become quite good at: hosting all different sorts of activities (like music jams, the weekly beta breakfast, people in beta festival, art exhibitions etc.) to get the different co-workers to get to know each other and work on collaborative projects. Besides, the attached “Open Design City” – a makerlab – is attracting its own breed of do-it-yourself afficianados.
