TinkerMill is a hackerspace. It’s a community/shared space where creative and hacker minded individuals can gather together to share tools, materials and knowledge to collaborate and make things. This is typically focused on (but not limited to) science, technology, electronics, art, crafting, music, media, food, material science, synthetic biology and various kinds of systems (from engines to electrical layouts). It’s a place where creative tinkerers expert in something such as programming can work with someone expert in something else like HVAC on how they might build a new smart home energy system. Or a costume designer might ask an electrical engineer how to build electronics into a costume for a play, movie or comic con event. It’s a place where new business ideas are born and spun out to create great new products and services, or kids come to learn how to program and build things. Or a local brewer shows people how to use an Arduino chip to brew multiple batches of beer at the same time. It’s only limited by your imagination and the people that surround you.
It’s a makerspace. A hackerspace. A non-profit, creative workshop/lab for the community.
